Be Selfish, Choose You

December 18

Hello lovelies!

Countdown to Christmas is now 7 DAYS AWAY!! One week. One week. One week. If Christmas is only seven days away, that means New Years isn't too far behind which leads to the annual New Years Resolution List. I'm going to be completely honest here: I suck at keeping my New Years Resolution. I am good for a couple weeks or months depending on the topic but I eventually can't keep up with it. It happens to everyone and it's a little bit part of life. However, growing up with a competitive family has formed the mentality of never being a quitter. Under no circumstances do we quit.

With this in mind, I've come to the realization that in order to truly success in a "new years resolution" you must do it BEFORE the time comes. It will actually last, it will be a bigger commitment and it will force you to be a little selfish. When you commit to something that's personal for you alone, it creates a room separate from others. It becomes a priority to you. It becomes something that is just for you. We live in a world where everyone wants something from you, you have responsibilities and commitments. It's hard to have something you do for yourself, it makes you happy, it's something you look forward too while inspiring you and motivating you.

So, be selfish. Choose you. Create a resolution that allows you to grow you to stronger: physically and emotionally. Make it personal. Make it all about you. Make it for you. It can be anything. Choose something realistic, choose something crazy, choose something for your health, choose something that enriches your soul. Whatever it is, do it for you. Don't think of anybody else. Don't think. Allow . the thoughts to flow. Allow your inner voice to speak through the muddle of everyday thoughts. Take a deep breathe. Choose you.

XOXO
